Young Artist Academy™ Award Winner
Tim Luca Schmidt has been working in Entertainment for over half of his life. The 12-year old Actor & Model from Saarbrücken, Saarland, Germany gives his advice for self tapes and networking.

II gonna tell you something you don't know: Shhh, but don't tell anyone. My shoe-size is 11.5 (US-MEN) :-)
I love to meet new people and make new friends all around the world in Entertainment. I have never made this huge amount of e-castings (self-tapes). There were a lot. And that's a very good opportunity for those who don't live near the casting-hotspots.

I loved being part of Schmitz & Family. Ralf (Schmitz) is an awesome comedian and actor. Loved working with him and especially loved his advice.

Networking Tip: Always be engaged, be honest and be nice to people. It is a big family.

Business Advice: Never give up and when a door closes, there is always another one you can check out and walk in...

Academy Newsletter Interview - May 2020

Actor, Model & Influencer and Tim Luca Schmidt from Germany turns 11 this month. The Young Artist Academy™ Award Winner from Saarland shares what he loves and how he's staying busy.
Working in Entertainment lets me do what I love. I get to meet new kids and make new friends. Set life is always like being in a big family. I always do what I love. When you do what you love, you are always happy. I’m okay with saying "no" if I am not in the mood for a project. When one door closes, another one opens.
I love to draw. Drawing leads me into my creativity. In addition I do sports. I love playing Basketball. In my opinion, sports is a great way to keep focused.
On Self-isolating: I started my YouTube about one year ago with the ulterior motive to stay active during times of less bookings and auditions. So this keeps me busy in this shutdown time.
Networking Advice: Meet other people in the Industry. Not only at auditions. And never ask or beg for a job. You don't need it. Use your social media to show how outstanding you are.
Business Advice: Always set realistic goals. Pursue your career, reach your goals and follow your dreams. Did you already reach a goal? Then set new goals! Whenever you're "knocked down", don't stay on the ground.
