Academy Member Newsletter Interview - August 2020

Trinity Rose is “ridiculously happy” working in Entertainment.  The 17-year old Singer/ Songwriter/ Actress and Young Artist Academy™ Award Winner from Malibu, California shares her highlights and how she’s mastered self-isolating.

I love all the wonderful people I’ve met in Entertainment! From artist friends to the amazing fans I get to perform for, it just makes me ridiculously happy to be in this career. Having 43 of my friends in and out of the industry participate on my song and video for Love is the only River a song of unity and global peace and love was a major highlight. The song won the international songwriting competition as well as Young Artist Academy™ single of the year. I’m so proud of everyone who helped bring this song to the world! Achieving 1 million streams worldwide of my song, Miss You with Aidan Gallagher is a highlight, and one of my favorite concerts was opening for him in Toronto last summer.

Unless you keep up exceptionally well with my instagram, my favorite object ever, my Jeff Tweedy Martin guitar is named Benjamin! I name all of my guitars, not that I have very many. My other guitar, a Larrivee, was named Lucy, after the Beatles song. Sometimes I listen to other music to get inspired. After concerts I usually write down way more ideas than usual afterwards or I just plug in my headphones and get lost in all the beautiful sounds people are putting out.

On Self-isolating: I’ve been writing songs, completing my junior year online, studying for the SAT, and learning how to drive has been fun. I’ve mastered zoom parties and playing Minecraft & Sims.

Networking Tip: Social media -- in my case, Instagram -- has been the best way to get in contact with other artists, songwriters and producers! Start checking out what other people like you have to offer and make a lot of friends.

Business Advice: If someone truly believes in you, they will do it without strings attached. I’ve learned that if you have to pay obscene amounts of money for promises that can’t really be kept, that isn’t what you should go for. Find people you trust, they’ll guide you in the right direction.

Look for the release of Trinity’s new single EP on May 15th called ‘ Morning Text ’, and her remix debuting on SiriusXM Radio BPM on Saturday May 2nd @11p.m.
