Academy Newsletter Interview - May 2021

Young Artist Academy™ Award Winner Óscar Castan loves what he does. The 15-year old actor and host from Los Angeles shares what he loves about Entertainment, and the stars he looks to for inspiration.

I love [that in acting] you are able to bring yourself into every character, getting an opportunity to bring a character to life. [Audiences remember] how devoted you are to the character and how much emotion you are able to put in and just show that audience a stellar scene. I look into how famous actors got to the top and all the challenges they faced. I would love to be like Dwayne the Rock Johnson or Chris Pratt one day.
My most notable project that I have participated in was having my own segment for ABC News Radio KVVBTV. This was a huge moment for me because not only did I enjoy every moment but my segment also won a Young Artist Academy™ Award for Streaming Series Teen Artist.
I also love all things Anime. My favorite anime is Re-Zero.
Networking Tip: Take any chance you get cuz something small can be big
Business Advice: Be kind to everyone because kindness leads anyone to a positive future.

Please be thorough and insist on this protective measure when making new Industry Connections. The Young Artist Academy™ is bonded and in full compliance with the Krekorian Talent Act, an expansion of the California Advance Fee Talent Service Law. In compliance with California Legislature Sections 1286 to 1289 and Assembly Bill 1660, the Academy's annual awards show is produced by Stage Managers, Directors, Writers and Producers carrying Child Performer Services Permits. While no process is perfect, this is one that we take seriously and are committed to constantly improving. Rigorous protocols created exclusively by and for the Young Artist Academy™ have received praise as the new "gold standard" for youth awards organizations.
