Academy Newsletter Interview - February 2019

12-year old Academy Winner, Bryson Robinson has been working in Entertainment for over seven years.  How does this comedic actor keep delivering such positive vibes?

I love making people laugh.  I really think it’s such a gift to be able to entertain audiences.  I also really like the opportunities as an actor to use this status to be able to serve the community by volunteering and doing charity work.  I worked on a film A King’s Betrayal and it screened at 30 film festivals and internationally!  It was amazing that people from all over got the chance to see my work.
I love working on comedy roles.  I’m a regular on a Brat show The Mani.  Learning from Lawrence [Wayne Curry] (who plays the title character) has been amazing.
Some of my longest lasting and best friendships have been made in the industry.  We just get each other.  Young performers share a special bond as we know each others experiences.  Winning a Young Artist Academy Award has been such an amazing achievement for me.
Bryson's Networking Tip: Always be yourself, grateful and kind

Bryson’s upcoming feature film with Danny Trejo, Donny’s Party, releases later this year.

The Young Artist Academy™ reminds families that California Law requires publicists, managers, acting coaches and headshot photographers who work with child performers to obtain a Child Performer Services Permit. Please be thorough and insist on this protective measure when making new Industry Connections. The Young Artist Academy™ is bonded and in full compliance with the Krekorian Talent Act, an expansion of the California Advance Fee Talent Service Law. In compliance with California Legislature Sections 1286 to 1289 and Assembly Bill 1660, the Academy's annual awards show is produced by Stage Managers, Directors, Writers and Producers carrying Child Performer Services Permits. While no process is perfect, this is one that we take seriously and are committed to constantly improving. Rigorous protocols created exclusively by and for the Young Artist Academy™ have received praise as the new "gold standard" for youth awards organizations.
