Academy Newsletter Interview - June 2021

Young Artist Academy™ Award Winner Raphael Alejandro has been acting since age four. Now with a new lineup of projects soon to come out, the 13-year old from Los Angeles shares what helps him to keep focused and stay successful.

I love to learn, especially about science. Biology is one of my favorite scientific subjects and when I finish High School, I would like to become an Environmental Lawyer to fight for environmental causes.

Since I started acting at the age of four, I always worked hard to get where I am today. So remembering where I came from and always working hard for every project that comes my way helped me to keep myself grounded. What I like best working in Entertainment other than acting in different projects is meeting new people. I enjoy talking to people because everyone is unique and has different opinions and I find that fascinating.

Being able to portray different characters for different projects not only challenged my acting skills but also helped me learn about the world and about myself, making me a better person and better at my craft. So, I kind of feel like all of the projects that I participated in are noteworthy and career highlights for me because they all made me grow as an actor and as a person.

Network Tip: I think that being polite, outspoken, but most of all, being myself helped me to network with Industry Professionals.

Business Advice: Do not take anything for granted and to always do your absolute best in everything you want to accomplish. The other one is to be kind and respectful to everyone.

Watch for Raphael in Bunk'd Season 5, Boss Baby 2, Jungle Cruise and Acapulco
