To be eligible for the 2021 Awards, the young artist must have been between the ages of five (5) and eighteen (18) when their project was in production. Artists older than 18 are eligible to submit for the 2021 Awards, if they meet this age requirement at the time of production,
The work must have been nationally and/or internationally aired, streamed, televised, released theatrically, or played in a film festival between January 1, 2020 and December 31, 2020.
A YouTube link to the submission video must be provided on the online Submission Form.
The video can be set to unlisted but must have the 'share' ability to be embedded.
At the start of your video, make sure you have a graphic card (5 seconds) that includes your head-shot, name, nomination category and project title.
Submission videos can be any length up to 3 minutes maximum.
If a short-film is 10 minutes or less, it may be submitted in its entirety. If it is longer than 10 minutes, it is suggested that the scenes showing the best performances be edited into a submission video that is no longer than 3 minutes.
For WRITER, PRODUCER, and DIRECTOR submissions, an edited video may be up to 10 minutes maximum in length. A project's trailer, if there is one, is also acceptable.
Video File Title
Ensure the title of the video file starts with the young artist's last name, followed by a hyphen (-) and the project name (or an abbreviation.) Example: Last Name-Project Name (note: there are no spaces on either side of the hyphen.)
1) Upload a full headshot photo (top of head to below the chin) with the Submission Form (see below for the form.) This is optional for subsequent submissions.
2) Upload an audio file (mp3, m4a, mov, or wav) of the young artist's full professional name and project title, as typed on the Submission Form, being pronounced. This will be the spelling and pronunciation used in all YAA publicity, social media and on the Category Videos during the live gala event.
The Awards Gala will be announced later in 2021.
2021 Nominees will receive updated information about the 42nd Annual Young Artist Academy™ Awards Gala.
Young artists do not need to be present to win. Shipping/handling of trophies will be at winner's expense.
The Young Artist Academy™ Awards organization is fully bonded and in compliance with the Krekorian Talent Act (Bond #E254215)
